OUR STORY

"Growing up, my grandparents owned two adult family homes. My mother worked there, and I would often visit the residents. Even at a young age, I enjoyed pampering them. I would do their hair and their nails. This sparked a life-long passion for seniors. When I turned 18, I became a certified nursing assistant, and I've worked with seniors in some capacity since. The inspiration for At Home Senior Spa came to me when I started work at an adult family home in 2022.  My first day in the home my heart fell in love with this sweet resident named Jim.  Jim was 75 years old and full of life, love, and positive energy. At the age of 74 Jim was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. Also known as ALS. Jim got to a point where leaving the home for church, or breakfast with his family was no longer an option. During that time is when I began doing at home manicures and pedicures on him. I can still see his smile today when I would walk in with my spa bath. His happiness is why I decided to open my service up to all seniors.  In honor of my dearly missed friend Jim, I will be donating one dollar for every manicure and pedicure to ALSSO.
